Designing with the Grower in Mind
We design in order to maximize value for the grower.
Lower installation costs, lower operating costs.
1.
Minimal Tubing
We select designs that do the most work with an economy of tubing: no more or less than what is needed.
Why? Because tubing is expensive! Manifolds and risers are hundreds of dollar each. We want to be sure they’re necessary and contributing to the overall performance of the system.
2.
Efficient Energy Use
We specify fans that facilitate efficient heat transfer while minimizing both fan expense and ongoing electricity costs.
3.
Ease of Installation & Maintenance
Installing a climate battery is time-consuming and therefore expensive. Plus you only get one chance at it since a climate battery is difficult to “fix” once it’s installed. The best designs should be as straightforward as possible to install and operate worry-free once they’re installed.
Is a blueprint kit really worth it?
Here’s 4 reasons why we think so.
1
Reduced Piping Costs
Tubing is one of the biggest costs of any climate battery:
$150+ - 1 roll of 4” pipe
$200-$400 - 1 large diameter corrugated pipe
Saving on just a single roll of piping or reducing your need for tubing or connectors through our optimized designs saves on installation costs.
2
Our Experience, Your Benefit
Climate batteries are an expensive investment, and you have one chance at getting the design right.
We have years of experience in climate battery research, operation, and design. That knowledge is built into our each of our designs.
3
Your Time = $$
Your time is valuable.
Yes, you could spend weeks (or months, or years…) researching designs, drawing up plans, and pulling together lists of parts, but why do that when we’ve done the heavy lifting for you?
4
Reduced Installation Costs
Your excavator’s time is valuable. About $100 per hour valuable.
Our blueprints specify the excavation size, provide tips on the excavation and backfill process, and through our consultation time we can advise you on best practices and tips for your situation.
